Samartano & Company, was founded by Jim in 1959.  Under his leadership, the company has been involved in thousands of projects for  new and rehab construction, repair and inspection work, from the large projects to the small.

Jim passed away on January 28, 2015. His engineering and business expertise was well respected throughout the Chicago building community. His presence will be missed but his influence will continue in the many engineers mentored under his guidance.
